Hello everyone, I have just recently purchased a 94 holiday rambler with the spartan chassis. it is 36 feet long. This is my first motor home and we still have a pop up. The motor home has a momentary rocker switch on the dash marked ICC lights, I am not sure what this switch is for I believe it is to flash the lights on the back of the coach to thank someone for telling me it was safe to pass but since I cant look in the back and press the switch at the same time I cant be sure. I also have a momentary switch called aux heater. I don't even have a good guess on this one, There are two water heater switches, one in the bathroom that I can hear light the heater when I turn it on and heats the water. The other one in the galley that looks like a light switch with a red light on it. The red light comes on but it doesn't seem to get the water hot am I doing something wrong?

When out on the test drive the salesman was showing me the PAC break and demonstrating how it worked. Now I press the pedal and am unable to feel any response. Is there a master switch to turn it on that I am missing?

after I purchased the coach I noticed that the water temp gauge was only showing 145 degrees after warming the coach up. I then had all fluids changed engine oil, oil filter, trans fluid, filter, engine coolent, both thermostats, ujoints repacked, and generator oil changed. The coach will still not warm up past 145, the heat coming out of the dash heat is luke warm at best. do I have air in the cooling system? am I just an Idiot and the engine coolent doesn't come this far to the front of the coach an the dash heat does not work like a cars.

Its 25 degrees out side right now will the furnace keep my water tanks from freezing?

I did read the owners manual and the most I could find on the switches that I am asking about is that number 12 is the aux heater switch but no explanation of what it does.

Sorry so long thanks in advance

PS its a cummins

That switch that looks like a lite switch is to turn on the electric element in the water heater to heat the water. The switch marked icc is as you think but blinks the front clearance lights as well. Don't run the electric element and the gas for water heating at the same time. If the elec. doesn't heat the water then you need to check the heater element in the water heater. Use a voltmeter and set it on "ohms"...should see a resistance if it is okay. No reading will indicate an "open" or bad element.

If you haven't figured it out yet....

The AUX heater switch turns on the rear heater. This heater is located under the bed and can only be used while your driving.... activating the switch routes hot water from the engine through the rear heating coil to provide heat in the bedroom area.

Look in your basement for vents that have black T handles. If these vents are present then your basement can be heated/air conditioned by opening the vents. If these vents aren't present, then chances are your basement isn't heated. Some Holiday Rambler model RV's did have tank heaters but I'm not sure what models or what years.

Sorry I can't help with the pac brake.... mine has an exhaust brake with the control mounted on the dash.

Are you sure the switch with the light in the kitchen is for your water heater? My water heater switches are located in the bathroom... separate switches for LP and electric, both have lights. I do have a lighted switch in the kitchen, next to the sink, but it's for the water pump.

Zebrex,
All of the questions you have can be answered free by calling the Monaco coach Tech line. As you know they own HR now. The # is 1-877-466-6226, and then push # 4 and that will connect you to a operator. Ask to speak to a tech advisor. Believe me they have books on every year of coach.
