Hi, I bought a used motor home that has a datron sts-205 satellite dome on the roof that is apparently complete. However, someone removed whatever it takes to aim and drive the dishes. I have a receiver, but would like to try this system. I`ve Googled this to death and can`t find any info or parts. Any help would be enjoyed. The coach is a 2004 Holiday Rambler.

I assume you have the small control panel but the controller and receiver are both missing, your best chance is a RV Salvage Yard or e-bay.
Good Luck, finding any thing for them is adventure. The last Datron I searched for parts for was Datron DBS-4500. Datron is long since out of business.

On Edit: The Datron requires a receiver with a low speed output to feed the controller, the old Sony, RCA's etc had a low speed input port, the new receiver's do not and will not work with the Datron units. When the receiver goes, good luck finding another one. Also just for what it is worth, the slow speed port is a 9 pin connector like a RS232, some receiver only had a RJ type connector like a large phone jack and these required a adapter cable from RJ to Serial to be usable. Tech support is non-existant, and they had a habit of locking up on the wrong satellite.
You probably would be better off replacing the whole unit.

Thanks for the info. I thought since its on the roof I`d try it, but I guess I`ll reduce the drag on the coach and take it off. I`m a retired Navy guy, submarines, and they say nothing is sailor proof, but I guess I`ll let this one go.
