For what it's worth ... sorry, I can't speak top performace and this may not mean anything to you - but perhaps another consideration if you are not already a Ford user. Both my wife and I have problems with the "behind the wheel" ergonomics of Ford products. Because of pedal placement, etc. we both get leg cramps ... even with adjustable seats. We've logged 123,000 miles on a Chevy 3/4T Silverado and have had no such problems.

We recently bought a Ford 1 ton, Larriett model to pull our 5th wheel. So far so good but we don't have many miles behind it. My husband is a "Ford" guy. The great thing about this truck is that even the pedals move out for m e (I drive a lot and am only 5'2"). Again, I think it goes to if you are a Chevy or Ford guy...... I hear good things about both. Good luck and test them ALL out :)

I am a Ford guy all the way.
My truck has adjustable foot pedals that allow the diver to position them where they are comfortable.

I would check out this web site on the new ford supper duty trucks. It is interesting to say the least. http://ltlhotshot.myfreeforum.org/Ford_Owners_about567.html

IMOP, You would have to drive and decide for yourself. (consider maintenance)

I'd go with the chevy here just because parts are easier to obtain. Also there are more chevy dealer here than ford dealers. I have the gmc duramax/allison and love the truck it pulls like nothing else I've driven in it's class.
