Lake Hartwell or Lake Guntersville camping?

Anyone camped on Lake Hartwell in Georgia or S.C? Or Maybe Lake Guntersville in Alabama or Lakes of North Georgia?
Looking to camp in July.

Lake Guntersville is one of our favorite places. It is a state park so it is rustic. There are plenty of things to do and the park rangers have programs available. Reservations are not accepted but we have always been able to find a spot.

My cousin camped at Gunthersville this past July they said it was ok but HOT.My parents like Lake Hartwell.I don't know if it would be any cooler there.You might consider a park in North Ga. It might be better there.If you don't mind the heat R Shaffer Heard is a great park it is a core park also.It is on West Point Lake.All sites are on the water so you can swim at your site.It is not far from LaGrange Ga.It is hard to get a site in July if you do not have a reservation.We will be there for a week around Mem.day.We take the boat also.We like to tube,ski,and fish.
