Have read posts from many who have other manufacturered motor homes. Guessing that I am not the only Tiffin product owner.

2007 Phaeton 40' QDH model, towing a 2002 Jeep Liberty.

Let me know about yours. :)

We are in the process this week of purchasing a 2008 Phaeton QSH 40'. Sounds like what you own. I'm a little nervous, but we really like the layout and my husband is very happy with the "mechanics" and HP, etc.

From what you wrote, I assume you are happy with yours. We did a lot of research before deciding and didn't hear anything bad about Tiffin. Also, we are not too far from Red Bay, AL.

This is my first post on this forum. Hope I do it right!

We just purchased a 2008 Phaeton (the 36 footer). So far we love it. We chose Tiffin because of all the great stories about Tiffin. I had been on Rv.net and so many people who had a Tiffin and some who didnt said "Tiffin" was a great choice. This is an older article but very interesting. I have even talked to a few Tiffin owners recently at a campsite in Yuma and they all had great stories about the after purchase service (especially if you have had problems with your dealer, this comes in handy).

We bought a new Phaeton 40 ft in 2004 and have really enjoyed it. We would not purchase any other brand. We are "full-timers" and have lived in our Phaeton since we bought it. We researched for a year and a half to find the right RV and we are glad we did. Tiffin gives great customer service. We have been to the factory two times for warranty work (minor) and one time to have our hot water heater replaced. The employees are very customer service orientated and the company really stands behind their product.

WE chose our Phaeton due to several reasons: The customer service mentioned above, the reliability of Tiffin coaches, the amount of storage space, the testimonies of other Tiffin owners, the floorplan, etc. We have not been disappointed.

Wishing you the best with your new Phaeton, they are beautiful!!

Congrats on your purchase. Many owners make trips to Red Bay for service work. I heard about this cult from other Tiffin owners. I have been there twice. If you have issues its the place to go. I have been there twice. Make a list of what you have questions about or issues you want them to address. Nobody knows that coach better than Tiffin.

Happy Motoring!

I am a Tiffin owner, 98 Allegro Bus. I'm a fulltimer, been in my coach for the last 5 years. I am solo, so I have as much room as I need and then some. I have been to Red Bay twice, and am amazed at the attention paid to us, the customers. Bob Tiffin has one of the most customer friendly company's I've come across. If he is there, his door is always open, and he will give you his undivided attention for a genuine concern.
A lot of his stantdard equipment are options in other lines. I have been more than satified with my coach and will look at Tiffin first for my next coach.
As they say, I am "roughing it smoothly"

Still love the coach, the folks at Red Bay are great.

2008 Allegro Bus. 2001 Acura MDX toad. I am also a Tiffin Network member.

I don't get here very often but had to reply to this thread.

We got our Bus last June when we sold our previous MH back to the factory (different company) due to major quality defects and very bad customer service. We had a number of trips already planned where we had to have a motorhome so we had to pick one fast. I did some research and we talked with a lot of Class A owners so we had some idea of what we wanted and what we could afford.

The main items for us were Customer Service, a quality coach, reasonable price (good value), respected name in the business and customer input. We also wanted a dealer close to us that was not too HUGE to service us in a timely manner. We found it all 15 miles away. They had our coach on the lot and we spent hours going through it and driving it. After we visited other dealers and drove other brands we went back and told the dealer. "I have only one more issue to resolve....can I get this beast in my driveway?" Five minutes later I was driving to my house with the saleman next to me. Once at my house he got out and laid out a plan to get the Bus in my driveway...no easy task with mailboxes, trees, and a narrow road to deal with.

I did and we bought the coach the same day.

We have been through 24 states and over 10,000 miles since then. We don't FT and won't as DW is not able to leave the brick n stick house for more than a couple months at a time.

We have had our share of problems with the coach but all have been repaired or replaced at no cost to us. So far so good. We plan on keeping this for many years to come and will be taking frequent long trips (>2000) one way several times a year and this coach is built for the road. (Now that we got the steering wandering fixed.)

There is a group of folks who use the campfire chat. Generally a morning coffee group and then again in the evenings.

January this year we traded on a 2008 42' Phaeton after Sheila saw her friend's new one a year ago. She fell in love with the higher ceiling and all that cupboard space. I did a lot of research as well and have heard nothing but good things about Tiffin. Wasn't aware of the Tiffin network so will join it. We have been full timers since Aug 2006 and our address is the Good Sam Mail Fwd in Pensacola Fl. We want to see everywhere in Canada and U.S. so our lives are busy. Lately I choke at the price of diesel but Sheila reminds me that it is just part of the lifestyle we've chosen so get over it. We spend the summers in Ontario with the grandkids and we see them on the webcam all winter. I gotta admit, life can't get much better than this. Our licence plate of the front is the Canadian and American flags (as we have dual citizenship) and our names, John and Sheila. You'll know us when you see us!

2005, Allegro Bay, 37'QDB, 8.1L Gas Engine on Workhorse Custom Chassis, full-timer. Love the coach and have installed Banks Performance package to improve fuel mileage. I now get 8.5 mpg, that's an improvement of 1.5 more miles per gallon if I drive 60mph and below. I tow a 2006 Saturn VUE.

FYI...the first 2009 Phaeton has rolled off the production line in Red Bay. An impressive unit with many new changes. Seems standard equipment include a ceiling fan in bedroom and they got rid of those troublesome day/night shades.:)

Workhorse suggest that I should come over here and see what was what.

Don't have no high powered coach, just a 05 32BA but for us, it get's the job done. Been a Tiffin owner since about 90 or 91 when we bought our first unit-----a used 1986/28 foot Allegro with a 454 Chev engine. Now on our third Allegro. Have no plans to upgrade to anything else.

Now, guess I'll just "lurch in the bushes" for a while to see what's going on.

Hi
We are new to this space. We have a 2002 Allegro Allegro. Love it. We went to a Tiffin La Mesa Rally in Tucson, Arizona in March of 2008. Had a great time and met some wonderful people. Coming home our brakes locked up and our home is still in the shop. No one seems to know how to unlock them. Hopefully we will be back in business by the end of May. I have to go to Tucson again and would rather take my Home than a greydog.

Good Luck!

Hey Wagon 217: Caught your comment about knowing a retired firefighter.

Quote: "----I am fortunate that one of the admins there is also a retired firefighter. We know each other and worked for neighboring agencies."

Got to wondering if that be that feller who retired about two months ago down in the Birmingham area? Met him first time back in 03 at the Nashville Rally.

Oh yes, I've been a part of TiffinRVnetwork since 11/03. Known over there as Marty2. Changed ID when I came over here for some unknown reason that is lost on me now.

We just purchased a 2009 Allegro Bay. We had a Fleetwood Southwind as our first MH. We were not happy with the quality of the Fleetwood.
We have been looking to get into another MH since we are full timers. We attended the Hershey PA RV show this past week end and found just what we were looking for. I was very impressed with the product and the people who sold it to us. An added bonus was meeting Bob Tiffin in person.

Just wondering where you get your warranty repairs done. We have made three trips to Red Bay Al. for warranty work. Locally have had minor repairs done where we purchased the rig and was not impressed with Lazydays.

Am scheduled to get some paint work, and window replacement at another shop. Thought I would try out Suncoast RV in Cocoa, Fl.

Wagon, if this be warrenty work and you don't like Lazy Day, call Bob Tiffin and see if he'll authorize having the work done where you would like to go. I understand he's been pretty good about letting owners go get things done at other place's.

Afret75, Tiffin recommended Suncoast to me when I talked to them about my paint issue. There is a La Masa dealership close to me but they will not work on what they didn't sell. I did not get a warm greeting from them when I visited there.

We bought a new 08 40' Allegro Bus last January.

During the summer we took it on a 'test run' from Florida (our home base) to western Canada, Washington & Oregon. On the way home we stopped off at the Tiffin plant with a long list of extremely minor items that needed to be repaired. We had to wait a while because we didn't have an appointment but once they got us in they were tremendous. They fixed our problems and even found some that we weren't aware of and fixed them too. They couldn't be any better and it's true that Bob Tiffin's office door is always open and he loves to talk to owners of his coaches.

I will never buy another brand!

Great to hear from you vidcity! I met Bob my last trip to Red Bay, had an interesting conversation with him. There was some talk last year of Tiffin opening a service center maybe in the Jacksonville area. Got that information from camp host there. That's probably on hold for now though.

It's hard to get an appointment for service but if you are willing to wait, at the Allegro campground they will get you in for quick service. My experience with the service tecs in Red Bay is much like yours. We are happy that we selected our rig. Now just needs to warm up some here in Fl. :)
