Hello All, great new site. I hope that it lasts and gets bigger. I want to know how to turn up my hot water heater. I notice that the water is not very hot. Can someone please let me know if there is a way to turn it up, or is it pre-set by the company. Thanks Steve...

Stephen, all the water heaters I know of are preset from the factory, but I have heard of folks contacting the company and getting a new thermostat for the water heater.

What brand of water heater do you have? That might help folks in giving you answer if they have a similar unit.

Stephan, all of the water heaters that I have had have been preset and not adjustable. You might want to check and make sure that your bypass valves are closed all the way, and also if you have an outside shower make sure the faucets are turned off at the fixture and not just on the sprayer. Either one of those scenarios would allow cold water to mix into the hot.....Tim

A friend at the lake had a similar problem. Turned out to be the check valve at the water heater. It was allowing cold water to circulate back into the heater when tap was opened.
