Even though we are somewhat new to the RVing thing, we have come across the worst RV park we have come across yet, it is the KOA at Cape Kennedy, full of full time RV ers or should I say mobile home/trailers/dump sites. I emailed KOA about this and never heard back from them. To see the place is to believe what I am talking about...
Beverly Beach in Florida is one of the best, AND Jekyll Island, Georgia is the 2nd... Anyone else have any favorites?

We stayed at Cape Kennedy-KOA a few years ago and did not find what you did. I know that during the wiinter most of the CG's in FL have winter residents and that may be what you ran into.

We travel many months each year and like Myrtle Beach Travel Parl, Red Coconut in Ft. Myers Beach, Clearwater CG in Meredith, NH, Fort Chiswell in Wyethville, VA and Country Haven in New Holland, PA.

Enjoy!!

no these were actual mobile homes, in disgusting condition. There are a few camp grounds in Titusville, this was KOA, look it up sometime...

I agree, the place is a mess!!!! We stay in a lot
of KOA's that are really nice, but there is no way
that I would stay there!!!!
When we are in that area, we stay at Seasons in the Sun,
which is just next door. What a difference!!!

This sounds like a regular occurance at KOAs. We stopped in a KOA just north of Sacrament and found it rather more like a slum then a camp ground. There were cars up on jacks with engines pulled out of them. One had the engine hanging from a tree. Then in Petaluma we stayed in the only camp in the area and it was also a KOA. Although no slum conditions it was the most expensive site we ever stayed in. $55.00 on a very steep site with no sewer. Un-timmed trees to knock off all your roof vents and a/c cover. No more KOAs for us.
