Looking at buying either tiffin allegro bus or winnebago tour. Any pro or cons per unit. Have been researching for 8 months and just wanted to hear from the experts.

I presently own a Monaco Diplomat and have spent 10 years in the RV field delivering RV's and as a CDL trainer . I am in dealer shops on a regular basis. I used to be a great fan of Monaco and Winnebago but have seen their quality slip a lot in the past year or so. The quality control that they used to be known for is in my opinion not there anymore. The most important issue to think about when you buy a new coach is service and warrentee coverage. They are not backing their warrentees like they used to do. I am familiar with Tiffen products and have met Bob Tiffen on a few occasions. You are hard pressed to find a Tiffen owner who is not happy. They back their products and Bob Tiffen is always available to speak with a customer. We have close friends that own Tiffens and are very happy. Like any new coach you will have the normal problems but the important thing is that they respond and handle them promptly. If I get another coach it will be a tiffen.

Without a doubt, Tiffin. I have full timed in an Allegro Bus since 1997. Would not, could not compare to any other brand for qualty or service...

We've owned both! Last year we traded for an 08 40' Allegro Bus and couldn't be happier. Quality and service is excellent!

On our summer trip last year we stopped at the Winnebago plant and took a tour. It's really impressive but it's easy to see why they can't put the quality into their units that Tiffin can once you've toured both plants. Tiffin is far smaller and pays attention to detail and quality. IMHO, Tiffin is simply the best.

I would think that you would feel the same as we did when we looked at the Tour and the Allergro Bus at the dealership before we bought. For about the same money, the Bus looks richer on the inside and I don't think you can beat their exterior appearance. The quality Tiffin puts into their units just can't be beat.
