we keepeveral feeders up and love to watch the birds. We seasonal camp and have many birds that visit our feeders. We use a cardinal mix of seed, and nyger and have hummingbird feeders. The majority of birds that visit our feeders are hummers and goldfinches. Though last year we had a pair of grossbeaks visit our feeders regularly.
When I fish in the am on the lake the loons sing to me and watch the hawks hunt and the eagles fish in the lake.

Dear farawaygrandma,
I'm a birdwatcher and amateur birder working in Custer State Park and next year I go back to Texas. How 'faraway' are you?

We have had some pretty serious and novice birdwatchers at our place during the winter. Some have come up with over 100 new sightings in a couple weeks. In fact my wife, who has lived here most all her life, was just saying less than an hour ago that there was a new bird song along the river. I have heard it the last month but have not seen what is singing. Come make the trip to Catemaco, Veracruz and you will be a happy birder.
