MY wife and I enjoy stopping at Casinos. Last fall we made a fast triip back to Min. Mich. Our first night out we stoped at Sky City Casino, in Sky City New Mexico. Stayed all night in their back parking lot, along with 5 other RV'S, at no charge. We just spent a weekend in Laughlin, NV, at the AVI Casino, they also have a boondocking area right next to the Casino. It is lots of fun. Some we go away with money and some we leave money. We are planing a 4 month trip, starting on April 1, Starting in Yuma,AZ where we live and going to TX,LA,FL,SC,NC,VA,NY,Canada,MI,WI,MN,IA,SD,WY,MT,W A,OR,CA, and back to Yuma. We are hoping to stay at a lot of Casino's. I am orginaly from Milan, MI, lived there for 25+ yrs., Danny & Bobbi McLaughlin

Hi, Is this new camp ground any where near you? We see this camp ground advertised in the work camper. By the looks of it, it looks like a big camp ground. From Lansing, it is 150 miles, so really not that far. Last summer we were 30 min. south of Ludington. If we are unable to return to our other place, for sure we will check this one out. Thanks so much! Paula & Stu

This looks like a nice campground although a bit on the pricy side. I'm from the saginaw area and like to camp in the Rose City area because of the numerous small fishing lakes nearby. Also the abundance of trout streams in the area. It looks like a large campground with a lot of activities. I also saw it has cable tv and wifi a couple of pluses for rain days. Keep us informed on this new campground this is the first I heard of it. We looked at another campground last year with similar annemities and were disappointed because they gave a lot of excuses why nothing was working and the campground was not ready for all out camping in mid june. I believe they tried to provide to much and were overwhelmed with work required to keep everything functional.

We are from Ohio and are interested in camping in Michigan this summer. We would love to stay somewhere on or very very close to Lake Michigan ( love the blueness of the water !) Can you point out some good campgrounds for us to call to get reservations? TIA!!!

Hi, We have worked at silver Creek RV Resort now for two summers, and it is a great place to camp. We are about a mile from Silver Lake, and about 15 min. from Lake Michigan. My favorite place to go to the lake, is Pentwater, such a cute little town, lots of people during the summer. At Silver Lake, you have the dunes to climb, or go watch the dune buggies on the dunes, or rent a jeep for the afternoon. If you want to check out the RV park go to www.silvercreekrvresort. All the sites are paved, pull though or back in, big heated pool, kiddie pool, hot tub, all sites paves plus the streets. Also, Ludington is only 30 miles north, and another great place to go to the beach. There is so much to do in that area. If I can any more help, Please let me know! Thanks, Paula

Are there any campground right on Lake Michigan other then the state parks? We would love to beach camp but can't find a spot available. Thank you for your help.

I would suggest looking in this websitehttp://www.michcampgrounds.com/search_listing.php?FTYPE=ALLARVC
or this one
http://www.everythingmichigan.net/
also this one

Hope this helps first one is marvac sponsored by campground owners and the next two have some others that are not members of marvac. Also some of the most beautiful lakefront campground are state parks with prime realestate that a private owner couldn't afford to buy the property in these areas to develope. I've heard a lot of good things about the state campgrounds on this side of the state but I usually stay on the east side of the state I might suggest the Tawas point state campground on this side it also has the blue water and nice beaches. Also sleeper state park and port crecent state park are nice destinations.

Hi,
I'm not sure of any beach camping, like you said, most are state parks, unless someone else out here knows of any camp grounds near the beach. We find that most of the state parks are not large enough for the bigger rigs now days. They have so many slides, you end up on the other person's lot. If I hear of any camp grounds other the state parks, I will let you know.
