Hunting Island Campground South Carolina

My husband and I are going to Hunting Island Campground in SC the first week in May. We have reserved spot 74 which I am told is an ocean front spot. Has anyone been there? I'd like to hear your experiences.

I understand that it is a "tropical paradise" and that the Vietnam scenes of Forrest Gump were filmed in the park. .:)

Great campground . We had site 89, not an ocean site, but very large and private. I really didn't see a bad site in the campground. If you are traveling in a RV make sure you bring a portable tote for easy dumping of your tanks.The beach is great!! Hope you enjoy your trip.
