We recently needed some warranty work done our new 2008 Monaco Diplomat. Some major issues like an air leak came up which needed immediate attention. After talking with Monaco about them, they directed us to Beaudry RV in Tucson, AZ.

We got an appointment and with through the problems with the coach. I hand the service advisor a list of things they may need attention. I specifically stated to her not to do anything that was not covered by warranty. Sounds clear enough.

Not to bore you, but to give you an idea of what they were to work on I list two of the problems:

One problem was the curb rear slide would sometimes stick when it was going out, and need to stop and start several times before it would complete the full extension. The problem was intermittent.

Another problem is that the air horn module started blowing fuses and melted the air line that feed air to the horns. I was able to temporary patch it with the help of Monaco Technical Support till I got to Beaudry in Tucson. The technician at Monaco stated that I should still be able to use the street horn. Well that didn’t work either. HERE IS THE KICKER: I told Beaudry that I did not think I had a street horn (just a air horn), but the technician at Monaco said I did.

HERE IS THE RIP OFF: When I went to pick up the coach they would not release the coach until I paid them nearly $200 for diagnostic charges on items that they were unable to fix. One of the things that charged me for was telling me that there was no street horn for this coach. I said that when I checked in, but it was Monaco’s Technician in Indiana that said that I should still have a street horn. When I complained about the charge they said to take it up with Monaco.

I CAN’T SAY IT LOUD ENOUGH: A BONIFIDE RIP-OFF = CROOK = BEAUDRY RV IN TUCSON AZ. At least that is my opinion.

RECOMMENDATIONS: If you are travelers like us, don’t stop at Beaudry RV in Tucson, AZ for service. I can’t speak for the other two locations, but I am sure that they are all run the same. If you are purchasing new, thing about it first if you go here.

Be sure an post your experience at RV Service Reviews http://www.rvservicereviews.com/ This site is to report good, bad, and indifferent service. I always recommend that people check it before going to a unknown shop/dealer for service.

Everyone should beware of this dealership for their service needs. They have recently made huge employee cuts and lost some very good service personnel. At a company meeting employees were told the level of service that the customer is expecting would not be able to be met. But the customers would have to get use to it. One location is closed, strong rumors about other two.

They have nothing but bad service reports. I would never ever buy an RV or take my current one there for service of any kind.

We are full timers in Tucson. To date haven't had to do much on our 2003 Itasca, but Beaudry RV is close to our RV / Manufactured home park, so I figured that would be where I'd go when the rig needs repair / service. After reading the notes I'll find another shop. Thanks!

There have been problems with Beaudry, both sales and service, as long as I can remember, and certainly long before they recently filed for bankruptcy. I wouldn't buy anything from them, and they'd have to be the last place left on earth before I'd let them service my RV!

I agree. I wouldn't go to Beaudry RV for any reason. I really think Camping World screwed up when they started including RV dealerships with their Camping World RV supplies and parts/services.

It is a total mystery to me how Beaudry stayed in business as long as they did. We lived in Tucson in the mid-1980's when they were a normal sized car dealership. We had no dealings with them then. A few years later ...late 1980's ...we were visiting in town and they had become a "mega dealer" after buying up several other dealerships/brands. We had our vehicle serviced there and had a disastrous experience with shoddy work, charges way way over the original estimate, replacing brand new v-belts and charging astronomical rates for the new ones, and damage to plug wires etc that only came to light when I had to repair them later in our trip. They had obviously grown beyond their competence at that point --- and yet 20 years later, according to all the reviews I have read over the past couple of years, they were still providing the same poor customer service on an even larger scale!!! How did they stay in business for so long ????
