I am looking to purchase a 1999 monaco diplomat with a 5.9 turbo charged cummins. 275 horse listed. coach is in great shape I just don't want to be going 20mph on I70 heading up the pass to vail. Anyone have an opinion? TRMPT

While the 275 horse 5.9 is not going to set any speed records climbing the Mtns. it is not going to be all that bad either comparing this a Gas eng. rig.
Many years ago I had a 93 Itasca with a 190hp 5.9 and it managed if I remember correctly around 35-40 on I-70 climbing with out pushing it.
I believe the 275 hp 5.9 can be re-flashed for a 300hp output.
Before you buy any thing, test drive it and see how it performs for you.
