Digital TV

2 months ago, the local server, Time Warner, installed these digital boxes on our TV's to get the new "stuff" coming up for $10.00 a month. We got 900+ channels that I don't need but that's how it comes. My Question is, is this the same box I can buy at Walmart to do the same thing or are these for user's with an antenna? (Whodo will know) :)
