does anyone know a good CG on or close to the beach at gulfshores.

I love Gulf Shores...I remember that there are a few around the area (I saw the billboards advertising them) but can not attest to any of them. We were in Gulf Shores over Easter this year when I went home to Florida and Alabama.

they have a state Park and a few others in that area

We drove thru the state park at Gulf Shores 2 weeks ago to check it out. A really nice campground. I would stay there.

Try Anchors Aweigh RV Resort in Foley Alabama. It off 59 on 20 south.

If you like being on the water, let me suggest Perdido Cove RV Resort on Perdido Key. It located about half way between Gulf Shores and Pensicola directly on the inland waterway. Plush!
