Can't wait for the Dallas Ham-Com this year. Last year they had a portable antenna system that worked on two meters, 6 thru 40 meters utilizing light weight aluminum on a tri pod that set up in just few minutes. There were a ton of RV'rs buying them and I can't wait to see how they liked using it. They were working on a 80 meter version...

It was called the Buddipole. 16 feet high extended and it collapes back into a neat little 22 inch bag.

If you want to see what it looks like go to this website:

No, I'm in no way affiliated with this company!!!!!!

If you make it to the Dallas Ham-Com this year and are able to find some one that has been using one be sure and report back on how well it works.

It looks like a interesting antenna design but with the price tag it has, I would sure like some first had use reports before I bought one.

Not bad for $200.00, I saw one of these at Hershey Park and wondered what it was. I didn't pay much attention but he had it attached somehow to the top of his rear ladder. I was working my 2m handheld and he about blew it out of my hand.

Not a problem...I'll be there helping with the testing for new hams and upgrades. If your there, drop by and say hello!! I'm KA5G.

I'm really thinking about getting one so I can also use it at my lake property...

sorry for not getting back sooner...we've been in South Dakota.

They were selling those antenna's like hot cakes this year. Met several people who had them and they (to a person) said it was great. A little pricey but worth the money.

I too have it on my wish list...

How is this SWR on this Antenna and how is it adjusted? Pretty Flat across the various bands or is it necessary to make changes each time you change bands. Also, is the 80M available yet?
