So whats the availability of rv parks there in winter. Last winter I could find nothing in arizona. A few in Texas and finally stayed in Louisiana.

There are plenty of Campgrounds in Arizona... as well as Texas.

I've found when I called in August to reserve a site... wishing ONLY for say 3 months... they would not consider the idea because they were wanting FIRST to find Rv'ers who wanted 5 months. Not that one could blame them for trying to lock in a longer term.

Last winter we did lock in a 5 month site at Foothill Village Resort near Yuma Arizona... but there were sites still available when we arrived in January. There are lots of parks in Arizona... as well as southern California... so I'd suggest just come down, park for a short stay... and do some running around till you find the place you want to spend the winter.

The real answer... is arrive in December... and have no issue at all...

There are sites available in the Tucson,Green Valley,Tombstone,Benson areas there were spots all winter not many but 3 or 4 all the time. Have fun

I could not get out until november last year and that is when we called. This past feb I called about next jan. Told to call back this aug. Ok I am dedicated until Jan 1. So am I going to run into a problem when I call this Aug/Sept time frame for Jan to Apr.?

we pass your park on our way to parker to shop and donate at Blue Water Casino!! We are down the road at Desert Gold in Brenda.. Make a point to have saturday night supper at Black Rock Cafe, on Hwy 60 in Brenda-prime rib is saturday-its great!!includes the soup and salad bar..We really like this area, hope you will too. We are gold prospectors and belong to the Quartzsite metal detecting club. Always alot of fun for the winter.. Dona and Elvin
