Cleaning the Black Streaks

What product is best to clean those dreadful black streaks? I’ve tried many things and have been unsuccessful at penetrating them. My siding looks terrible!!! (Aluminum)

There are so many products out there that you may get 3 days worth of reading here. Cleaning your roof with soap and water is a first start, thats where it starts.

Probably the best product I have used for getting those deep seated black streaks is the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Knocks them out quick with a minimum of elbow grease. If you want a cleaner that works well for the general surface (all over) try a surface cleaner like 409, Fantastic or Simple Green. These will do a good job on that type of surface but will need more elbow grease on the tough parts. After you get it clean, to make it easier to clean next time, make sure you get a good coat of wax on it. If the grime can't get hold of the paint you can usually just wipe it off. Some cleaner waxes will do a very good job of this two step process in one step. Try Nu-Finish or Finish 2000.
