Hi, Just wanting to know if there are any workampers that read this site. Am considering it full-time. Thought of starting in the state I live in so when I have down time I can come back to see how I feel about living in the motor home or do I want to be a planeted person.
Anyone out there?

Hi, Winnie We've been workamping for 15 years. Won't every settle down again until we can't drive. The Workamper news is great. Not only does it give you the info for jobs but they have great books and forums on their site to make it easier and better. If you subsribe remember us. www.workamper.com If you give them our name J Gregg and #16029 we get one month's issue free. Thank you if you do it.

Hi there,
My husband & I started work camping about two yrs. ago and we love it. We meet some wonderful people and gain such great friendships along the way. My husband at 54ys. lost his job, so we sold our house, bought a bigger 5th wheel and our first job was up to Mears, Michigan working at this great Rv resort. We had a great team, and we worked together and had a good time. Then that winter we went to Florida and my husband worker in the resort we stayed at. It's hard leaving these friends whom you have become close to, and they have become your family as they also are away from their kids. This winter due to circumstances out of our control, we stayed here in Michigan, but are preparing to take off in May right after our cruise. We are looking forward to getting back out there. Would love to talk to anyone who is away from grandkids, and your own kids! We have had our grand daughter with us since she was two months, and she will be four in July, so this will be our first adventure away from her, other then her Mom can bring her up on week-ends. Hope to hear from anyone. Paula

My husband and I are in the process of selling our house, and just about everything in it, and purchasing our first fifth wheel. (We really like Carriage Cameo). I am an RN and will be doing travel nursing, my husband is a Culligan man, and we plan on him doing workcamping. My first contract will be in San Antonio in Sept., and we have looked at Admiralty and Blazing Star. Hopefully one of them will have a workcamper position open. With the housing stipend I will receive, and if we can get our site paid for with his work, we should do pretty well. I appreciate all the information I am getting from this web site. I know we will meet many new friends, as we will be leaving family and friends in Missouri!

My wife and I have been workamping for 5 years. It is alot of fun and you get to meet some great people. We also started out in our home state but before we finished our commitment we were hooked. Just keep in mind it's not a vacation and you will be required to do some work most of which can be fun with the proper attitude. Good luck and enjoy!

My wife and I are fairly new to RV camping. We have both talked about becoming workampers. It will probably be part time for a few years as I have not retired yet.
