how fast do you run for the best fuel comsumption

We used to drive a Triton V10 and discovered that any speed over 55mph would decrease gas mileage drastically. We would get between 7.5 and 7.9 in our 34' class A. at 55mph.

Try a tank at 55, a tank at 60 and a tank at 65. Bet between 55 and 60. Even my 8.1 gets the best at 2000 rpm with is between 59 and 61.

HHHUUUUUMMMMMM, my 'ol 460 still gets between 9 and 11. best seems to be around 69 mph. just cant really travel that fast on most of the roads I do travel. Now I get ( avg 55) about 8.5 to 9 mpg. I dont load her very heavy and drive defensively. learned that as an OTR driver.defensive driving seem's to pay off.

We averaged 8.3 mpg, (towing our Jeep wrangler) over the last trip we took. 2296 miles in 21 days. About evenly divide between flat and southern mountains.
Drove mostley around 55 to 60.
