I have a 2007 32' Chaparral 5th wheel. I have dragged it about 7500 miles. Yesterday after about 150 miles we parked and when I was chocking the wheels found that the passenger side forward tire was about 2 inches off the ground, the other tires were warm to the touch but the one off the ground was cool as a cucumber, making me think it had not been on the road for a goodly part of the trip. Investigating I found that the forward connecting point on the back tire passenger side sping forward end was, for a lack of what to call it, pointing down instead of up. This in effect was like a lift kit. I used my hydralic jack under the pivot point of the wrong way pointing spring connection and this popped the connection point to the right position and the trailer sat down on all 4 wheels. I had no unusual road conditions on the trip. Has anyone had anything like this, or know of anyway this could have happened?

 I would check the bushings on the shackles they may be worn allowing this to happen.

I used to haul and set up mobile and modular homes, sometimes when we jacked them up to put on tires this would happen, the only way to correct the problem is to jack the pivoting shackle up as you did, they will pop loud, kind of scarey the first time. i really don't think it will happen again. I have had it happen if you pull over a large hump with one wheel.
