We just got back from a trip to colorado and stayed in Big Meadows c/g. We got to use our senior pass (just got it) so it just cost us 8.00 a night. Only thing that was furnished though was water. We were there for 7 days; by the way, just beautiful there. My question is: Where else can I use a senior pass?

Are you talking about your senior pass from the national parks??? if so you can use it at any national camp whether its at a park, forest campground, monument and so on.

Any National Forest, National Park,National Monument, Corps of Engineer Camp Ground, BLM, and some States honor them at thier State Parks. I almost forgot, If you're entitled to use the military Campgrounds, some of them honor them also.

That 50 dollars went out two years ago its now 80. It can be used at all of the above accordingly. The new card combined all the old federal cards into one. And yes some state parks and some famcamps do honor them but they are the few exceptions to the rule. The 10 dollar pass is the senior pass. Again honored at anything federal.

Turn your Senior Pass over...the back of it lists all the places where it is honored:
U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service
Forest Service
Bureau of Land Management
National Park Service
Bureau of Reclamation
In addition, although the Corps of Engineers can no longer sell these passes, they have said that they will honor them.

The following State "State Parks" supposedly accept the America the Beautiful Access Pass / Senior Pass. Verify that the park you are wanting to stay at will accept them.

Arkansas State Parks offer out-of-state seniors 25% discount weekdays but no discount on weekends.
Kentucky NO
Louisiana State Parks Yes
Mississippi State Parks
Tennessee State Parks Tn- gives a discount a Senior Discount, for 62 & over, but says to contact specific park for exact discount.
Utah State Parks ?? NO
Wisconsin
Some States accept handicap parking placard for discount as well, ask if you have one.
If anyone can confirm that any of these states do or don't accept it, please post it here.

And Utah has their own passes and they do not accept the National Park Pass unless you find someone who is hosting the campground that might.

I couldn't find a yes or no on WI, or Ms., which means probably not.
Not on the list;
Oh- does not accept the Passes, but Does have 12 State Parks that accept Passport America.

Is this for ANYONE age 62 or older, or just Tennessee residents? Many states have a senior discount for their state parks, but most of the time, it is only for a state resident.

Actually, I don't have to "push" Passport America, although I am happy as a clam to belong to it, & find it well worth the price.
I know you, would love nothing more than to shoot PA in the butt, because of whatever problem you had with it,but perhaps you should call someone else in Ohio,to accomplish that endeavor, as this is from their own web site.

If you scroll down to "Discount Program Summary", you can read it for yourself.

People that you talk to on the phone aren't always in the know.
Since both the Passport America's website and directory show some of the Ohio State Parks as belonging to the P.A. system, and Ohio State Park's own website shows some of the parks as being in that system, I'd believe those 2 sources over someone on the phone who, obviously, didn't know what they were talking about.
