We will be towing an automatic Toyota behind our Motorhome and wondering what it involves and what does it cost to utilize a lube pump? Any one flat tow with any helpful information would be appreciated.

Try remcotowing.com, you should be able to find the information you need there. Happy motoring.

I'm not going to say that none have ever failed. But I have personally installed many of them for customers and never have had any one ever tell me about a failure. Never had anyone come back with a problem either. (I used to be in the RV bus. I am not affiliated with Remco in any manner.)
Next There is a warning indicator in the MH should the pump fail. Anyone that says there's failed and they didn't know it -- either failed to listen to the audible indicator or failed to see the warning light.
If the Remco pump system cause a transmission failure -- read Remco's warranty -- they stand behind there warranty and there product.

I have been towing a '96 Ford Escort "four Down" since '98. I have had virtually no trouble. I did blow a fuse once during a freeze. Now I run the car for a bit before hooking up. I think that helps? I must have 60K-70K on the toad. And if it dies I'll probably pull the lube pump and put it in anything new I get. I would certainly use a lube pump before a dolly.

I paid around $700 in '98 and nothing since.

We have never towed with a lube pump! Have heard many horror stories over the years about failure. We do tow four down but have always chosen a vehicle that was approved-presently have a Saturn. Previously had Pontiac and a Durnago with 4 wheel drive and a neutral position.

We towed with a dolly 16 years ago with our first motorhome. I figured I had been towing trailers for 17 years how hard could it be. It was a pain and after the first trip we sold it and got a differnet car to flat tow.

My preference would be flat tow without a pump with a vehhicle (and there are lots) that does not require a pump.

ENJOY!!
