we had some mice problems and I like you had tried most everything. What does work for me is IRISH SPRING origional. Get the knee high nylon stockings. Cut up the soap into many small pieces and put some in a stocking, tie it shut and hang in the inclosed spaces of your MH and engine compartment. The animals do not like the smell and will find another place to live.

The cat sounds like a good idea. But it is hard to have a cat when you full time it.
What I have used is dryer sheets. But the cheap ones from Wal Mart. Put those in all the nooks and grannies. Also a rubber snake here and there helps with mice and birds who want to build nest in all the cracks.:p

Some tell me that bars of Irish Spring soap works. Got that from a friend that restores old cars that sit around for months on end during the restoration.

On another site Im on, someone asked the same question.
One of the replys received was go to a sporting goods store and get some bobcat urine spray.
Just a thought.

We had problems with mice getting into our rig while camping in southwestern Colorado untill we followed one of our neighbor's advice and sprayed around our tires with fox urine. Deer hunters use this on the soles of their boots to hide their human odor. You can usually find it in small bottles in a sporting goods store. Squirt a small amount around your tires and hose openings This will scare rodents away with the odor.
