I just have a question. Anybody know anything about this RV Sani-Con product. All I have herd at FMCA's is how great it works. can I get it on a new Motorhome? Who offers it. Can I retrofit it to my existing coach?

I don't see that it really does anything special. If you dry camp for very long periods of time you might be able to extend your stay a bit longer by moving the black or grey water around but dumping will take much longer compared to using a standard hose. If for whatever reason you happen to be WAY away from a dump it does appear to be a bit easier to make a long run.

what about the lack of mess. and the fact that you don't have to clean and hose off the discharge hose. I guy at a rally told me it's about 10-15 faster from start to finish. I am not sure but everyone I have talked with who has one installed says they would never go back to the old smelly messy way. is it reall cleaner?

We have it and I really like it. A lot less mess. Takes a little longer to dump, but not enough extra time to make a big deal out of it. If you take into account the time getting out a regular hose, hooking it up, rinsing it out when you're done, and putting the wet hose back into what ever storage you have, the time probably evens out.
Some manufacturers have them as options, but you can buy them and install them yourself, if you have the room.

I guess I don't see the time savings. It takes about 3 seconds to connect the hose to the dump connection, I dump the black and then flush the hose clean with the gray. When I am done I put the hose back in place (5 seconds) and head on out. Since I am almost always filling if it's just a dump and go, speed is of no concern. If I am at a campground it just a matter of hooking it up and leaving it alone. Again, speed is of no concern.

I have had a Sani Con for over a year and really like it. Other than the fact that it does take longer to empty your tanks everthing is positive. In addition to some of the advantages already mentioned -- I used to have clogs (toilet paper build-up) in blackwater tank. The fact the the Sani-con pumps out the sewage rather than gravity flow I haven't had a clog since I started using the Sani Con. Another advantage is that you can pump uphill for long distances. It is not a necessary item but I think it is well worth the cost.

Monaco is making it standard or an option on their motorhomes. Only real advantaage is if you want to dump over 25 feet away.

I have a Holiday Rambler Endeavor with it on and I really like it because there is no mess to clean up or to worry about. The small hose will adapt to a garden hose if you need it. It does take a little longer to dump but who is in a hurry. It came on my HR.

I've got it on my Monaco Dynasty, and I love it. My buddy has a coachman and after watching him hook up and take down the "old fashion way" I wouldn't be with out it. It's a heck of alot cleaner and easier to use in the long run. Well worth the cost.

I bought the plain Jabsco Macerator pump and adapted it so I can attach it in place of the standard 3" hose to my dump valve when needed. I adapted the pump discharge to a garden hose fitting. I use a 3/4" garden hose to empty my tanks uphill 50ft at home on the rare occasion I come home without dumping first. The time it takes isn't that bad. It really blasts it out the end of the hose. It's comforting to know I can come home without dumping if I have to and take care of the job there.
You don't have to permanently attach the SaniCon. When you're in a campground with a sewer right next to your site, there's nothing wrong with using the 3" hose to the drain.

I first had it on my 05 Monaco Knight and it was great , I made sure I had it on the 08 Beaver. East to use , less mess, unit is self contained and cap on end keeps and liquid left in hose or smell in hose. I would not do without it.

A work of caution, make sure if you have girls or women in your unit that they are told not to put the tampons in the toilet. I bought my unit after it was about 6 mo. old. Apparently someone had put a tampon in mine and of course I didn't know it. Just last week mine quit working. I had to take it apart and clean it out. You gessed it, I found plastic in it from what I mentioned before. Also a lot of long hair. When it went out it also blew the little black circut breaker which is attached to the switch. It took a while but Monico parts finally found a replacement for the circut breaker. Got it back together now and it works great. :D

I ordered a Sani-Con on our 2006 Monaco Knight and really, really like it. While it's pumping the tanks I do other things, like bring in the awnings, lock the bay doors, check the levelers are up, etc.
It's convient, clean, easy to use, no setup required, store easily, you can balance out our tanks if dry camping, doesn't smell, doesn't require cleaning and it's sanitary. Never had a spill until I had to use the slinky hose.:(
Mine went south when someone flushed something other than toilet tissue down the toilet. I've had to use the old "stinky slinky" for a while and I will sure be glad when it's replaced.:)
Those that haven't ever had one don't know what they are missing.
I say go for it!

I think that the posts say it all, those that have it love it, and those that don't, don't know what they're missing.
Time to come out of the "stone age" :D and welcome yourself to the 21st century....try the sani-con, and become one of those that can't live without it...:D
