Pilot Travel Centers are in the process of adding "Roadside Medical Clinic + Lab" to their Travel Centers.
Currently open in Cartersville, GA., Knoxville, TN., West Memphis, AR., with plans to open 16 locations in 2008 and 20 more locations in 2009.

Roadside Medical Clinic + Lab requires no appointment and anyone can receive general medical attention between 9AM & 9PM, Monday through Saturday.

This service will be handy for anyone traveling and in need of general medical attention.

Thanks for the information. There are truck stops that also have dental care and chiropractic services.

No matter who you decide to see for medical urgent care while on the road, remember to do the following:

1. If you have health insurance ask them to bill for you. Don't pay upfront, that is what your health insurance is for.
2. Keep a record in your RV of the following to give to the doctor:
a. list of current medications and dose
b. list of over-the-counter meds, herbal remedies,
homeopathic remedies, and others.
c. list of all your medical conditions.
d. list of allergies, to include food, medications, environmental.
e. emergency telephone numbers so they can contact in case of need.
3. Give the clinic the name and phone number of your personal doctor in case they have questions or need additional information.
