Hi Kelly! We are new to RVing and live near central FL. Just outside of Tampa. We have been to a few state parks and plan a trip to Ft Wilderness in May. We have a 20 year old daughter, so no more pitter patter! Perhaps we can get together?

Hello Kelly! My husband and I are fellow rv'ers. We full-timed for about 4 yrs and then bought a house. We still go out with our 5ver, a 36' Coachmen.
We are not 50 yet, got a few years to go, but we don't have any children except for our pets--which we consider our children. ;) We do live in Central FL--Ocala to be exact. Maybe we can get together sometime?

We are in our early 50s and love full timing, we did it for 4 years before we moved here. Would love to talk more with you about camping. Hello to all the folks who are from central Florida area or even north or south areas. My sweetie and I have a 30' travel trailer (just acquired) and want to do some weekending in the central area. Maybe an occasional three or four day trip a little further north or south into Florida. We have been to a few campgrounds and RV resorts, but want to try out many more. We are in our early/mid 50's, children all grown, travel with our two little dogs (Maltese) and love the outdoors. Richard likes to fish, putter around the campsite, walk/hike, and play a little golf. I love to fish, talk walks, easy hikes, and COOK. Both love nature type areas. We enjoy socializing with our friends at home, but alas, none of them camp. We would like to connect with other couples who have similar interests and time schedules and maybe plan some trips. Reply or email to me if any of you want to talk. Judith & Richard

The bad thing about living in central florida then venturing north to travel and camp is everything closes up on Labor day and doesn't reopen until Memorial day...those winter hours are killers....If you try to camp in Florida during the winter months when the snowbirds are here the spaces are at a premium...

I live in the florida keys. You can come south in the winter. The few remaining campgrounds are full and $$ but the state parks are great. They recently started to allow pets. Just remember to make reservations EARLY...e

Hello again, I've been reading the forum responses to those of us living in central Florida and looking for others with similar interests and ages to do some camping. Sounds like there's quite a few of us out there. How about if we try to communicate as a group. Here's some of the people who have indicated an interest. ocalakel, wagon217, ezmarelda, southpaw, harley, jndwilli, flagypsy, raywhite, ladybluebutterfly. I'll send a message to each of you and maybe those who are interested can communicate back through the forum or emails. I would be will to help organize the communication or if anyone else have different ideas about how to do this, let us all know. Let's plan some fun weekends and get to know each other. Judith

Thanks Sunny I think that would be great! After the end of June we will be free to go just about anywhere with a group. It's always more fun to get together at a Park for some fun! We would be taking our 250cc scooter along. Sharon & Marty

I just read your post on here. We are going to be workamping in the Leesburg area, so I am not sure if we will be available to go on weekend trips. However, you all can plan a trip to Leesburg and camp where we are going to work. Its called Ridgecrest and its on 27, it is a passport america park so that might help also.

We may be without a computer until we get set up there, but should will be back and forth to our mobile home and will check the computer here.

Jndwilli, ocalakel, ladybluebutterfly and elainefaith and other floridians
We just got back from a 10 day trip to the Keys, stayed at Geiger Key Marina and campground and LOVED it! Definately will go there again. We were fortunate enough to meet elainefaith at her home in the Keys. Wow what a great place to live. Elaine, have tons of fun on your camping adventure. We want to stay a weekend at Long Point County Park in Sebastian--it's very near Sebastian Inlet SP (also like to stay there if we can ever get in). Anyway, Long Point is beautiful with many campsites on the water. Lots of wildlife and I hear great fishing. Jndwilli, maybe Richard and I will get over there to your park for a weekend. Any chance you other campers could get down this way to Long Point or other parks around central east coast? Judith

Check out FPUC (FL pop up campers) you don't have to have a pop up, we don't, and we camp every month somewhere in FL mostly in the central area. We do venture north and south occasionally as well.

Check out the website: http://www.floridapopupcampers.bigstep.com/

Hope to meet you soon!
