If you connect a digital converter box, DO NOT connect it between the antenna and your video switch box!! I tried this and it fried my switch box. The converter must be installed in the line from the switch box to the tv. If you have 2 tv's and want to receive digital on both, you will need a converter box for each one.

Meaning I would have to tear apart some cabinets and trace some wires, just what I need..

i guess i was lucky on installing my converter box. i just went to the antenna wire coming into the factory installed selector box next to the front tv. plugged the ant in wire to the digital box and out wire to the selector box. the selector box then routes the signal to the front and back tvs. the digital remote does all the channel changes to the front and rear tv. if i want to watch cable the selector box will make the changeover for me. got many extra channels i did not have before. improved picture quality also.
