rockport 35 rv park....advertises big rig friendly. only about 3 feet between pads, no room to put out awnings, not long enough to stay hooked up to vehicle so they charged us an extra $20 for parking, and they were rude and downright nasty to us! thank god we only paid for 3 nights! $33 (?) per night plus tax. definitely not for big rigs!
ps any advice on friendly, big rig campgrounds in aransas, fulton, rockport area? thanks moo

Hello moooo,
The Gulf Waters RV resort in Port Aransas is outstanding. Stayed there last 4th of July. There are plenty of sites equipped for big rigs, with plenty of room for cooking and picnic tables (some even have a bricked in area for grills). It is beautifully maintained and the people are extremely nice.

Thanks for the post on Rockport 35. We'll definately stay at Gulf Waters in Port Aransas. Ownership properties have higher rates, but the spaces are generally much larger so well worth it. Nice to find out about Rockport before trying to fit our big rig in.

I couldn't agree more, Gulf Waters is the place to stay and it's beachfront. Just a short walk across the boardwalk and you're on the beach.

While Your In Rockport You Have To Go To The "boiling Pot" For Dinner...asked One Of The Locals For Directions...it's Well Worth It...not The Usual Restaurant....it's Alot Of Fun ;)

Our friends stayed there with a 45' rv and had space ,but he called it a "RV Cult" because if you didn't participate in all religious events then you were no longer welcome.
