6-8 tart cooking apples-pared and sliced
1 cup cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. grated lemon peel
1 Tbsp. butter melted
one 9" pie crust
Mix sugar, cinnamon,salt. and lemon peel together and sprinkle over apples. Then mix butter and lemon juice and pour over top ov dry ingredients. Place apples and topping in a 1 1/2 quart baking dish. bake at 400° for 35-40 minutes. Remove from oven and roll the pastry crust over the apple mix. put back in oven for 10 minutes more at 450°.
