We are looking to down size- hubby just bought a Tacoma, to replace our Tundra. We like to travel light.
Anyone have favorite small RVs. We've seem some really cute ones.
we are considering several models, Kodiak, Fun finder.
I don't think I like corner beds, and we don't need bunks. I'm thinking 18-22 feet, and light, but with decent construction.

Check out the Casita Travel Trailers at www.casitatraveltrailers.com. We downsized last spring and love ours. If you need something bigger Bigfoots are good too, but a lot more expensive.

We have our second R-Vision Trail Crusier, they are light to tow, they have a few different layouts and storage.

While your looking at fiberglass tt you might want to look at the SCAMP tt as well. The Scamp and the Casitas are both very well constructed and light weight.

I had a whole list of trailers that we were considering back when we still owned our Frontier which is similar to the Tacoma.

Someone already said R-Vision and in fact I think they have a trailer line specifically made for todays lighter trucks and SUV called the Crossover line - I think.

Saw someone on our last trip out with a Frontier and they were towing a Zep II that looked really nice

One that I really loved but couldn't find anywhere was the Cikira Classic Cruiser. The largest one had a queen bed at one end and a big U shaped dinette at the other end.

My other favorite was the Starsteam SS19RB but it was out of my price range. It has the corner bed but it's supposedly a queen and there is no bunk.

You already said you were looking at the Kodiaks and Fun Finders which were also on my list.

I know what you mean about not liking that corner bed with the bunk over it. It seems that when you are looking at that size trailer you mentioned - that is the most popular floor plan.

Best of luck in your search!

A couple years ago, we looked at the Rockwood Roo's. They are listed as "expandables" or "hybrids". I thought they were pretty cool. Here's a link to their site: (you need to "copy and paste") http://www.forestriverinc.com/nd/default22.asp?page=roo&nav=rec&choice=brochure

I recommend the hybrids also. then when you want the cross breeze just open the bunk end windows.. great feeling

Jayco has the only 2 year warranty and they make a light model. They also sell 3 - 1 more than all other brands.
Try Prescott AZ. Small town but sell lots and a good service department.

My wife and I own a 2003 27' R-Vision Trail Cruiser and tow it with a 2008 GMC Canyon Crew Cab 4X4. Our Canyon handles the trailer great. I can set the cruise on 65 and have not found any hills that have given me any trouble at all. No matter what trailer you buy make sure that you look at the towing capacity of your vehicle and do not go over it. Our Canyon has a 5500 lb limit and our trailer has a 5400 lb Gross weight limit.

Happy and safe camping no matter what trailer you buy.

Hi,
I see one of you are looking at Fun Finders. I have an 18' trailer that weighs 2960 pounds. Are you still looking?
