Either Country Coach will have 'massive' layoffs or it will shut down completely in the near future.

Unfortunately, the site to which you gave a link requires registration. Yes, I know it's free, but they want your email address, and since it's an Affinity Group website, I'm reluctant to give them that information since I've already had a bad experience trying to get "unregistered" from receiving unwanted emails from an A.G. company.

You can go here and read the same information concerning Country Coach with out having to register

whodo, tnks for helping out

Good grief, Fleetwood blew through 1/2 a BILLION dollars in reserves!, that is a good site.

Lindah, I understand your concerns about registering; the site whodo cited seems to be a better one anyway-a bit more info than RV Business.

Note the first sentence in the article, link given by Whodo: "The head of Country Coach has notified employees that the RV factory will shut down for good in two months if it can’t obtain new financing."

Companies are required by federal law to give 60 days notice of closing down. This is what Country Coach is doing, although that doesn't necessarily mean they WILL close down. It may a matter of "just in case."

Hopefully, the banks...who have received billions of dollars from the U.S. Government...will start parting with some of that money and give loans to businesses who are in dire straights instead of using the money to give their CEO's outrageous bonuses.

Lindah, on the RV Business site the quote is basically even with financing there will be mass layoffs.
I think it is a safe bet that the Company is gone, they will probably do what Roadtrek did, keep just enough employees to finish what was in production and maintain the facility until sale/foreclosure.

Can you imagine Fleewood stock valued at less than a dime!!

Please, please, please let Phoenix Cruiser be the next one I read about.
