Do many people do Workkamp in the north during the summer? I see a lot of Fla and South West winter post, but no Michigan summers. We are members of an Recreation Association and a lot of members winter in Fla and summer camp on their lots here. We are thinking about looking into a workkamper for our small campgrounds and not sure how to go about it. My neighbor on the lot next door workkamps, but it is winter and they are down south. It would be a pretty cake job for someone who wants to see Michigan just keep a check on the bathrooms from Fri afternoon till Monday noon.

You could join Workamper.com as an employer.
By doing that you could advertise for the job you stated.
Good luck in your search, At a point in time we would like to work in MI.
We already have a job for the summer at this time, or we would look into it.

Certainly people workcamp up north in the summer!

While we haven't workcamped, we have volunteered during the summer...once as camp hosts at a small BLM campground and another time for a national wildlife refuge. Both were in the northern portion of the U.S.

We winter in the south and workamp in the North, last year in Washington and possibly this year in Washington as well. Would love to have come to Mi since got family and friends there. Maybe next year. Keep us advised. Some owners just post on the different rv forums for workampers. Message me if you need help in doing that.

I know people that workcamp in upstate New York in the summer and in the south in the winter. They worked for Morgan RV Resorts but I think they will change because they weren't treated fairly.

We have workamped since 1998. During the summer months we have worked in Oregon, Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New York. We got all the jobs using Workamper News.

Well, It has been decided we would definatly like to use a Workamper if it isn't to late to find one for May to Oct. We usually hire someone for Fri thru Mon. during the summer to keep the bathrooms at the campground clean. We have a full and part time maintainence so they fix everything and cut the grass no heavy work. It would just be Friday afernoon thru Monday morning for a full hookup site and say $400 a month. Full use of our facilities.
We are not a public Campground we all own our own lots and can camp on them from Mid May till Oct. then the campground is where we store the campers till spring. Members can rent a space in the campground while clearing their lot, or family to visit or building. The only busy times are Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day we have big picnics at the campground pavilion.
We all also pretty much pick up after our selfs, it is just hard to get a member to commit to the weekends when that is the only time a lot of them have to camp.
We are a great bunch of people who I am sure would just adopt who ever we hired, or give them their space if they prefered. We decided on a workamper because we're not good at letting someone who needs a job go at the end of the year and thought maybe someone would like to see Michigan.

www.whitebirch.org visit the gallery, thats what we do all week.

NOW HOW DO I PUT THAT IN AN AD? :D

summer is about over and we'll be leaving our position in 6 weeks. It has been a good job with minimal problems. I would do this again. Summer is over quick in northern minnesota as the leaves start to change mid august. The heater is on end of august and all of september. I would recommend this kind of work if you have an income and the f/hu site is free. Working 2 weeks out of the month is a good deal. Now I see why so many work as camp hosts.
