We currently have a Garmin 260W GPS we use in the MH.
Due to its starting to malfunction, we re looking for a replacement and were wondering what the members here are using.
Any pros and cons are appreciated.
Thanks.

We have a DeLorme Street Atlas 2009 loaded on our laptop and have that setting on the dash of our MH.
That way the screen is the size on the laptop and not some little 3.5 X 3.5 screen.
We love the DeLorme for way to many reasons to go into here.
Their are also several other programs that can be loaded onto your laptop.

I really like our Garmin 7200 - it is a touch screen with a 4 X 6 Screen - very easy to use in the motor home.

Amen on Delome and the laptiop. I can read it from the drivers seat!! Used it for years and has far more total capability than most of the toy models on the market!!

I have to add my vote for "Delorme Street Atlas" and "Delorme Topo". We have both loaded on the laptop and can toggle between the two programs with just a mouse click.
The nice part about using the laptop for a GPS is the Screen Size and with the ZOOM feature you can have anything from the entire U.S. showing down to 500 yards of highway showing. It also gives you a host of other features.
By adding in POI's that you can download from the Discovery Owners web site or from the POI Factory web site you can have markers for just about any thing you can think of. (Example: WalMart locations, Low Bridges, State Parks, BLM areas, {Cabelas & Bass Pro Shops, a must for those of us that fish}, Rest Areas all 50 states, Dump Station locations, Scenic Routes, and the list goes on and on.)
For use in the TOAD we have found that the Delorme PN-40 GPS works great. It allows us to map our routes using the Laptop and then transfer them to the Delorme PN-40 for use while driving around.

Ditto, its nuts NOT to have a laptop with either DeLorme or Co Pilot-we use both. I believe that an outside antenna/receiver is a must also.

One reason Im leaning towards the Garmin type is, being a Class C, I dont really have the room on the doghouse for a laptop type unit.
I do appreciate the replies.

I have also used both Co-Pilot and Delorme Topo on my laptop. I have had good sucess with the antenna sitting on the dash near the windshield.

I would not be without my Garmin 750, gets me every where I want to go.
(Talks to me as well).
