 i recently stopped at a BP station who had just received fuel they had little signs over the front of the pumps which tells what grade of gas that pump was for. i went in side and asked which pump was the diesel and was told to use pump #1 which I did and picked up the green handle and filled my tank. only to find out later that the green handle was unleaded gas not diesel. so beware not all green pump handles are diesel. it was costy. FYI

That's a bummer, I just finished 3300 miles and never saw a pump that wasn't properly marked. May have to look twice but they were marked. Sounds more like the fuel trucked put the wrong fuel in the wrong tank.

I would be miffed too!!! I don't know if it is a industry standard to have green on diesel but a local station I used here had a black handle on it the other day. If the pump was marked diesel in writting it would for sure be a case for small claims court to recoup your losses.

I feel your pain, twice I caught myself reaching for the wrong nozzel-how much did you put in and what did you end up doing?

A friend of ours -claims- he put in about eight gallons of gas in a 30 or so gallon tank-diesel Chevy-and just 'drove easy for a few days'
