It was minor, and limited to battery cables, but I think it is accurate to say that we had our first electrical fire.

If you go to :

http://www.betsy-tom.smugmug.com/

you can view the pictures of how the battery sliding tray went south, the reason why and the consequences.

If you know someone who is unfortunate enough to own a Phoenix Cruiser I beg you to contact them and have them check the battery tray-we were lucky.

Forgot, we should reach 20,000 (twenty thousand) hits at the smug mug site this weekend!!

Sorry about your misfortune.
After the rapairs are made, is it possible to put some kind of rubber mat in the slide to prevent that from happening again??
Just a thought.

donnie, I will fab either an aluminum or pt plywood enclosure. My thinking is that the inconvience of not having a slide tray will be offset by not having the area accumulate so much road debris.

murffdog, not only driving it but we still have roughly 204 payments left.
We do have a big decision to make. Because we cannot pass this crappy rv on to anyone else we really have only two options; give it back to the lien holder and destroy an absolutely perfect credit rating or continue to use it and wonder WHEN we will get 'well done' in our dangerous to use Phoenix Cruiser-but this is unlikely see the final comment.

Perhaps there is a third option, get a thorough survey done of the coach and sell it for a bo with full disclosures but I would stay up nights wondering if the person who bought it really knew just how bad and dangerous staying in a Phoenix Cruiser is.

At any rate, something has to be done the dw won't even get into it anymore.
