Wondering how many folks know their fire extinguishers. Recently saw an advertisement for BC rated fire extinguishers and that got me wondering why someone would purchase one of those. Most common extinguishers are multiclass rated ABC, which means they are rated for Class A, B and C type fires. Next, read the extinguisher as it will have operating instructions on how to use it. Do yourself a big favor and look it over before you need to use it!

They should also be rotated, upside down, on their side, etc.. While sitting in their holders and driving around, the agents in the extinguisher container settled to the bottom.

When it comes to fire safety and fire there is only one person you need to know about and it is Mac McCoy.
By far the most knowledgeable person today in RV fire safety.
We have replaced all of our fire extinguishers with his Cold Fire extinguishers.
We also mounted a fire system in the engine compartment of the MH.
If you ever get a chance to go to one of his classes please do it, we did it twice and would do it again.
