How about we meet @ Rice Ranch & then possibly move to BLM Land ie: Hi Jolly or?
Also check "Who have you met" in the forums.

As I mentioned in Chat, we will do our best to make it, even if it is only for a day.

For everyone else, if you can make it just for a day or ?? Please post when you think you can make it.
If nothing else, maybe we could have a get together at Sweet Darlene's Rest. or Silly Al's pizza, or Yacht Club etc.

If you have a idea, post your thoughts, opinions, on some type of winter west coast get together, it would be great to be able to meet in person.

We will be in the middle row at Coyote Ridge RV park in Bouse (about 24 miles from Quartzsite) from the first week of Dec until the end of March (site 62 as I recall).
We have a Winnebago Sightseer and a white Honda Accord. The park is small and we are easy to find. Feel free to stop by if you have a chance.

Clay: do you have any plans to attend the RV show in Quartzsite while you are there, if so perhaps we can meet some place as Whodo suggested:)

Sorry I somehow missed your post.

We will attend the RV show but usually not on the first day or so. Meeting somewhere sounds good. We will be driving over with friends that will also come along.

Sweet Darlenes is good but may be pretty crowded. The Grubstake can be crowded too but is somewhat out of the heavy traffic area since it's on the north end of town.

Any restaurant you go to around the RV Show is going to be crowded and the service will be slow, so just keep that in mind.

I don't think the Grubstake is open for lunch (unless they start lunches during the busy January time) and the parking lot is small. However, there is an empty lot just north of the Grubstake where people could park and then walk to the restaurant.

Sweet Darlene's has a larger parking lot, but the couple of times we've been there, we haven't been impressed with their food.

Silly Al's has great pizza, but there again, a relatively small parking lot...and it, too, will be packed with people.

We owned a lot in Quartzsite for several years and spent the winters here. We never even tried to go out to eat in January, particularly around the time of the RV show!

You might have better luck finding a place out on BLM land to park and have a potluck.

Yes lindah Quartzsite is crowded, ( I've heard estimates of 1-1 1/2 million folks) spread across the desert, however that's why we go isn't it?

It has been our experience that the people how attend the RV Show are courteous & friendly & are a lot of RV'ers enjoying each other.

I'm not sure what you expected for the price @ Sweet Darlene's but we enjoyed it.

Why can't we meet as mentioned earlier & also have a BBQ either BLM land, Rose RV park or RICE Ranch to name a few?

So come on folks lets get a group together & enjoy the good times.:)

You apparently missed the part where I said we used to live in Q for the entire winter (had a house here)! We still spend some time in Q during the winter, but we've made it a point in the last couple of years to be gone for January...we've spent too many years trying to fight traffic in January, particularly around the time of the RV show. In fact, we used to stock up on food and other necessities so that we didn't have to leave our house during the RV show...and if we wanted to go to the RV show, it was a simple matter of just walking across Tyson Wash to get to the tent.

Went to Q last Friday and had lunch at the Grubstake. They have a parking area on the North side I had forgotten about.

Looks like the LeMesa lot on the corner of Main and 95 has changed hands. There is a new name on the main building and there are no motor homes there at all. Of course it's early and some may show up later.

EDIT. I guess LeMesa is still there. When we drove by yesterday they had their signs up and a bunch of motor homes on the lot.

Anyone that is going to be in the Quartzsite area is welcome.
Just post what day works best for you and then everyone can decide where and when to meet.
