Happened to me this morning a few times.. and for the past couple of evenings. I have disabled my firewalls, cleaned out my cookies and get the same results. it only happens to me on this site. Good Luck in chasing out this ghost problem :)

observed several folks gettin booted off of chat, between the hrs of say 5 to 8 pm. i don't know why i am not having any trouble, but several others are.

Hello everyone.

I've been alerted that it seems at night there are connection issues with Campfire Chat and our website, namely dropping connections to chat sporadically. How many of you have been noticing such, and can you give me an estimate of when this happens so I can try to chase down the problem?

HI JJ IT DON'T WORK MORE TIMES THEN IT DOES IM ON HERE DURING THE

using ie8, this is the error:
Connection failed! Maybe your network can't access the server, or the server is under maintenance, please try again later!:(

Our provider took the server down without letting me know. I put it back up, and should have ensured it'll start back up again if the server is rebooted.

Guess its time to put more quarters in the server machine. Reminds me of a car wash...when the time is up the system shuts down!

It's back up!

Someone switched the IP, which wouldn't be bad if the server connected by name, but since it doesn't I had to flip it over.

Now, back into my hole of coding :/

Thank You JJ helping resolve my computer problems and getting campfire chat back up.

I have to take part of the blame for campfire chat being down as long as it was.
JJ would of had Camp Fire Chat back up and running sooner If I hadn't keep him tied up helping me with my computer problems.

We had some issues with networking a couple times, but I've been about to take care of them as we found them. We had a big one yesterday that shut down all of our sites for about 15 minutes.

Still trying to keep it all in command.

Left JJ a message to slap the server around again. It will be morning before he gets to it so hopefully by the time you get home tomorrow it should be working again.

Well this is the weekend and JJ doesn't work on the weekends.
For what ever reason he didn't get chat fixed yesterday. Please remember JJ has a lot more to deal with than just keeping chat operating.

IF anyone wants to volunteer to pay JJ overtime for coming in on a weekend, I will be happy to call him at home to come in an fix chat.

Well, that was extremely odd.

Anyway, I hacked the server up, and now it runs!

Just once. After I kicked it, I gave it a stern talking-to, and reminded the dang thing who the boss was around here. Then, to drive the point home, I made it act as a chat server for the local highschool. After about 3 hours of dealing with girls talking about boys and vice versa, it decided it liked it here better.

Campfire chat was down do to IP Address changes with the server. Everything has been corrected!
