Safe travel Steve...and to anyone else who is traveling over the holiday. For me, I will remain local until after the holiday, then strike out for a few days. :)

To all have a safe and enjoyable "Thanksgiving"
We are driving about 75 miles to my sister's place and we are having Ostrich
for the main course. They plan on a lot of family and friends. Our first time for ostrich will let you know how it is.

Dutch & I will be spending ours in Summerdale, AL with about 200 fellow RV'ers. We're just having boring old turkey--Ostrich sounds very interesting. Let us know if it tastes like chicken:D
Really, I'd like to try it someday. Happy Thanksgiving

If you want something different, try buffalo steaks on the bbq, awesome.

The "Thanksgiving feast" was very good. There were well over 40 people in attendance with chicken and ham along with the ostrich, along with so many side dishes.
As for the ostrich we enjoyed it very much and if we tried to compare it we would not place it with either chicken or turkey, we thought it was like beef and probably more like elk. It was prepared with seasoning and other vegetables. It had the texture of elk, yes we would eat it again.
