Just installed a Yaesu FT7800 in the dash and a Yaesu FT857D in the living area fro HAM use. Mounted a Larsen 1/4-3/4 wavelength magnet mount antenna on the topside and a Yaesu ATAS 120 2-40 meter screw driver type antenna on a 20ft telescopic tower. Both work great. I monitor 146.52 while on the road, i have my Call sign on the rear bumper should you happen to see me motoring down the road.

Welcome to the forum, there's a lot of great people on here that are always ready to help.
There is more here than just the forum, there is also Camp Fire chat where you can talk to others in real time, a campground guide, a free classified section, life's-a-trip where you can blog about your activities, a suppliers index, service & repairs listing, you can sign up for, an create a FREE "MyRvParks e-mail" account, plus much more.
Take your time and check out all the various items that are available for your use.
(Oh yeah in case you didn't notice, there's links to everything here in the header bar at the top of every page).
There are other hams on here and I'm Surprised that none of them have jumped in and greeted you as yet, Might be that it is Thanksgiving weekend and none of them is around at the present time.
Once again welcome to the forum and enjoy.

Greetings ! I am new to the RV scene and relatively new to the ham radio scene as well. My dad got me interested about a year ago. I have my general class license and a new, slightly used fifth wheel. Hope to catch you out there!
