Hello everyone. My wife and I start a new journey on March 1st, as we have been hired as the new hosts of a very nice RV park. We are located in East Central Illinois and we are very excited about this new experience. I am interested in ANY suggestions as to what the guests like, dislike, want, don't want.......Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Thank you. That is one thing that we are going to do first. The past hosts have never started a website. We have alot of plans and are excited to get started. March can not come fast enough!!!

I would suggest that you get in writing what is expected of you and what you will receive as compensation.
You don't want to pay the expense of traveling to a campground and then get a suprise.
It is good to have ideas and suggestions. Remember that the owners will decide which ones they like and use. Don't take it personally if they don't implement all your suggestions.
Work camping is a great way of life and a great way to see the country and meet people. We are still friends and keep in contact with people we met over ten years ago.
Good luck and enjoy the experience!

We are not actually workampers, we are contracted by the club to be the caretakers. They supply our housing on site and pay us a salary plus expenses. They have a board and committees for about everything which makes it kind of nice. We will however, be able to implement our ideas and suggestions, so that is why I have approach all of you who are actually travelling and visiting these campgrounds.
