Attn all camping fans I would like your help in planning a camping event at your hometown very soon All riges are welcome We need to be considerate and take as little room as possible Please only use enough room for your slides, awnings ect. No open fires please, All fires must be contained in a fire pit of some type Fires are permitted only on black top and cement areas only No fires in grassy areas or in the walmart restrooms. Speak of restrooms No merchandise will be allowed in restrooms If you feel the need to take a snongebath, shave wash your hair ect in the restrooms please be courtious and clean up after yourself Your moma does not work here!!!! And before i forget anybody taking more then 1 roll of toilet paper from our restrooms will be punished to the fullest extent of the law (an extra roll for your walmart camp fire is allowed however as atated earlier it must be in the parking lot on the asphalt or cement areas only!!!!) Entertainment is as follows. 10:00 AM Flooded floor contest This is a contest to see who can plugup the most sinks and toilets with paper towels, magazines newspapers ect Please conserve our toilet paper once again a 1 roll per toilet max rule will be enforced Here is a little tip to help with maximizing the max gallons of water per minute refered to as mgwpm Dont forget to plug the overflow opening near the top of the sink! Winner will be chosen by the number of mop buckets it takes to clean up as well as the total number of minutes the restrooms are closed for the said cleanup Also note there will be a bonus for the person with the most total flushes. We are cuurently in need for more contest and parking lot events ideas If you have an idea for other contest and parking lot events please feel free to add to this thread afterall this camporee is for all to enjoy. In the mean time bring your lawn chairs, favorite music cds, firepits,bbq grills ect Were gonna have a camping party at your hometown Walmart in the very near future.

PS Do we have any electritions in the crowd that is capable of tapping the light poles so we can run our ac's or ceramic heaters if it is cold? Please realize that we may only be able to supply electric to 1 rv per pole so free electric will be on a first come first served basis And while we are on the subject of limited availability i would like to mention that not everybody will be able to park next to a storm drain so please be sure that your holding tanks are empty before you arrive. Dumping of black tanks on theparking lot will not be tolerated this year. I hope see to all of my fellow campers at your hometown Walmart in the very near future.

And before i get flamed this post was intended as a joke only Please feel free to add.

Thanks for the welcome. Walmart posts usually end up in a big argument so i thought i would attempt to post a funny that both sides could enjoy but it appears not much interest, Oh well, I will be posting on some serious issues in the future. Have a great day everybody.

Does anybody have any ideas on rules for a couple of other events such as ruffling the door greeters feathers and an obnoxious intercom event Mixing up the merchandise on the shelves or a special sporting goods dept event? If so postem up! :D

Not so much an event;
But I understand that down in the South East in the summer when the humidity gets real bad that your supposed to go to the local Super Wal-Mart sporting goods section an grab a couple lawn chairs drag them over to the food cooler section open all the cooler doors prop your feet up grab a cold one and kick back and enjoy the nice cool air, this is supposed to save on your A/C bill at home or extend the life of your Generator & A/C in the RV if traveling.

Great idea! Maybe we can work that in as we will need a break and some good refreshments between events.

I have a great idea for another contest in the parking lot. See how many toyota's you can park your rig on top of. Also you get more points if they are moving. You could be doing them a favor by stopping them too!!! We'll also give you bonus points if you get a honda or hyundi under there!!!;)

OK so how often do we (the guy's) end up having to go shoping when we don't want too. After a hour or 2 in wal-mart your wife is now ready to go. Only to find the check out line are very long.:mad: -----Now here is the GOOD NEW"S have your wife to tell you 5 min before she is ready to leave ---at this point make your way to a wal-mart poll with a phone on it dial up the intercom and say--ATTENTION SHOPPERS FOR THE NEXT 5 MIN YOUR CHECK-OUT IS FREE IN SPORTING GOODS DEPT. AT THE REAR OF THE STORE ) Now you can check out fast and easy and save 30min in line :D This post was from TJ at WTCS RADIO www.tcscountryshoebox.com

why rush out just grab a camping chair put it in your cart. Then take it to the big screen aisle and try it out in front of a big screen tv. Then turn on a game or your favorite hunting or fishing show. If you are really feel bold stop in the grocery section and grab some munchies and a soda.;)

Them munchies are going to make a guy mighty thirsty Don't forget the beer isle and be sure to make a trip over to the ashtray isle as well because they don't like cigarette butts crushed on the floor over there in the big screen section.

I just returned after 5 weeks on the road and many stories can be told about camping at Wal-Mart. You know them all, jacks down, slides out, grill set up, tables&chairs out and the list goes on. I saw one that looked like they were there awhile because the Blue-Ox was on the ground and the car was gone and there was a Kayak along side it. (jacks down, the whole bit)

If you would have looked closely you could have possibly seen a worn down path between the blue ox and the storm drain lol.

I guess i don't know what a blue-ox is, I thought it was one of them portable tanks that you can dump your holding tanks in. Ok i did some research on blue-ox

I guess i had dumping the tanks at walmart on my mind However i bet that kayak they left behind would more then hold enough to dump your holding tanks and coulda used the blue-ox and a few bungi cords courtesy of the sporting goods dept to drag it back to where you found it.

Yesterday walmart mgt call the quincy fl police dept about a man camping on their sidewalk- BUT That was not the mean problem the mgt. had The complant from the mgt to police was the tent was not his, but is was a display that was for sale .Police ask him to geather his things and move on. With about 15 people standing around listen . The mgt told the homeless man (HEY GO AHEAD AND TAKE THE TENT WITH YOU NO CHARGE) walmart will pay for it. This story was on local TV 5/19/10-------Now we know what to do when they start selling RV"s

Very FUNNY!! When it is necessary for me to park at WalMart I first add gas to my motorhome( 3 cents off w/credit card from WalMart). After parking I tape my receipt to the door window. I would stay at a camp ground in the area if one is available-it would be cheaper! Blue skies and green lights to all. Marie:D
