My family will be in Vegas as RVers for the first time in June. Anyone know where is a good place to stay? We are considering staying on the strip, but don't know how many RV hotels allow RV parking. I know there is a KOA at Circus Circus, but trying to find something closer to New York, New York if possible.
Thanks

I have been to Las Vegas many times with the RV, with and without kids. You will find that the RV lots on the strip are just parking lots with hook-ups. We actually preferred to stay somewhere off the strip, especially when the kids were with us. The RV parks usually don't have their own pool, etc on the strip. It was also nice to get away from the craziness of the strip. Maybe we are just so used to being in the wilderness in the RV that we needed a little quiet time at the end of every day.
Have fun!

We were in Vegas in our 40' MH in Dec. 06. We stayed at Union station downtown. We were within walking distance to the downtown casinos and close to the bus stops for anywhere else we wanted to go. It was reasonable priced and had full hoohup. No pool at this one. There are a lot of parks but most of them are not on the strip. That KOA is about $50.00 a night at Circus Circus. Just look around when you get there and you will find one.

We have stayed at Oasis RV Park several times. Close to the strip, and they are kid friendly....
Enjoy!!

We stayed at the Oasis in January and found it to be a first rate campground. I believe it is priced lower than $50 per night quoted by posters for other campgrounds. The nice thing about it is it is located at the top of the strip so traffic is lighter and you don't have to try to maneuver through the city traffic of the main strip. Also you might want to check out staying on the Boulder Highway. There are many along there and they are also away from the heavy traffic of the strip. Sam's Town would be my choice only because it is the most familiar to me. They have a shuttle that goes to the strip many times each day and as far as I know it is free. There are others. I would not attempt to take my rig on the strip or downtown for anything.....too many crazy places to get dinged. Have fun!!!

:mad: I loved this place at first but then when walking my dog to the designated dog run she was attacked by a unleashed very large vicious dog, that cleared the 10" fence they had to contain it in. Complained to management , they said they would not tolerate this and speak to the owner. Security came to my site with the owner in tow and proceeded to tell me to use another dog run and to stay away from that end of the park, when we didn't think this was a fair solution we were asked to leave the park . Later when I went to the office to ask why we were being treated this way , I found out why. The manager and the owner of the dog were very close friends.
I have never had any problems with my dogs or been treated in such a rude manner. I have 2 very mellow Goldens. It was my oldest 6 yr old female that was attacked and she was very traumitized by this, laid under the table for several hours refusing to come out.
So said my piece just wanted people to know that there are vicious dogs in this park and are condoned by management.

Bumpkinsnana Coming in from Circus Circus go on down the Strip past New York New York , go past the air port still on the Strip. to a street named Blue Diamond make a right and you will see the R.V. park on you let can't miss it. Big beutiful ,with all amenities. Pools and play room for kids and adults. This park is aprox. 3 miles from New York New York ! It is called;
"Oasis" a bit pricey but the very best place to stay. We used to go when it was on our list with "Coast To Coast" as members we received a discount. we no longer go as C.to C. is not serving the Park and they went too high in price !! Hope we have helped! Whitefox

We wanted to stay in a park for a month due to the costly fuel, so we stayed at the park owned by the builders of Crazy Horse mountain ! Beautiful views and trails for walking or hiking plus horses to ride through the beautiful countryside ! Loved it all ! The main complaint was the drinking water! This was in a huge tank above the place, we have a filtered 5th wheel it's the best
BUT the filter is to last for three months. This water was so bad we had to change it every week or it would clog up !! Never, in all our travels and we are on the road for 6 months at a time, this was the worst encounter we have ever had. We asked the folks who were taking care of the place and they told us the same thing they also have a problem with the water. It needs looking into. As far as the place goes it is the most beautiful of the whole area, wild life everywhere they come right up to your camp site at night and look in the windows,our dog, a boxer loves every minute of it.In the evening they have the carving of Cheif Crazy Horse all lit up, you can see the Lazer show from your windows, Beautiful !! The draw back is the water !
Enjoy The Black Hills !! Whitefox...

We are in Vegas now and stay here a few months in the winter. We are full-time. We love the Oasis. It is on south strip neara South Point Casino. The Oasis has nice spaces, 2 pools, one being a childrens pool, mini golf and activities for all. There is not a casino on the property but South Point is just down the road with casino, Theaters, Bowling etc. There is a free shuttle to take you to South Point. Get the free magazines when you check in and get free coupons for discounts to shows and activities. A great deal is the Stratsosphere, Impersonater show, buffett dinner, and 2 free show drinks, and a tripup to the top of the tower for only approz $50.00 pp (children ma be cheaper). Lots of deals. Get free coupon to see the car showroom at the Imperial Palace (even Herbie the car is there).Have fun. We love it here. If you need some more info just let me know. Janet:D

Depending on your budget Outdoor Resorts is an absolutely beautiful RV "RESORT" to stay at. It is an ownership resort but do have lots available for rent. I have not been to the Outdoor Resort in Las Vegas but my husband and I spent two months at the one in Indio and it was absolutely the nicest resort we have ever stayed at although a bit pricey (but I would certainly pay the price again to stay there). Please check it out on their website...you will not be disappointed!
