Hi my mom purchased a 1988 Prairie Schooner with sllide outs. Unfortunately in her desire to hurry up she did not ask my dad's or the familie's opinion.
She had it moved to land they purchased. Sunday we went to check it out.
Well i'm sad to say I think she got ripped off. They did not open the slides for her, she did not have them run the air, stove, fridge, heater, water heater.

None of us ownes a 5th wheeler or even an RV. I've tried to locate a manual from Gulfstream who bought prairie schooner in 1999. They could not help me as they only bought the name and don't have any manuals for that year.

Does anyone out there have any suggestions? I would really like to make a mistake into a positive for them.

Thanks

Don't know if this will help you but it may be a start, look on the stove ,fridge, air and water heater and see who manufactured these and call them for manuals. Try posting on all the different rv forums and maybe with some luck you will find more advice. Good Luck.:)

In the absence of manuals you might want to find someone who has had a 5th wheel or rv for some time who would be willing to come and help you gain an understanding of how the various features work in your mom's recent purchase.
In our experience most rv'ers are happy to help if they can and while there may be some slight differences in the way things operate many of the features are common enough that an experienced rv'er could "show you and your mom the ropes."
rbc1996's advice is excellent too! Many rv equipment suppliers maintain excellent customer service desks and they may be able to help you in your search for manuals.
Here's hoping you are pleasantly surprised once you and your mom have learned the ins and outs of her purchase.
