Supply tank question

After storing our unit all winter I filled the supply tank full of water leaving the draincocks and water heater drain plug open thinking it would drain as I filled it. Nothing . It has always even leaked out if I had the drains too loose. I started up the pump and the water starts gushing out of the supply tank but still nothing out of the water heater which I double checked to make sure I had opened it after storage. What gives? Never had this problem before. Why would it only drain if the pump was running?

Check and see if you still have the water heater bypass on. Sounds like this is your problem.

As already mentioned make sure that the WH bypass set in correct position.
The water needs to be pumped uphill into all the lines from the water tank, you have to get all the air out before you will get water flow.
