I look to do a little something to upgrade the RV every year.
Some years are good, some bad, some just plain tacky... there's some trial and error in life.
2007: So far, So good.
Small changes but dandies:
-Changed the tinting on the glass.
-Replaced the microwave. Got a nice one, great for act II popcorn bags.
-Got a verizon AirCard for this computer. Wish I had this 10yrs ago.
-Installed a BlueStreak Chemical Installer for the facilities. That thing is working great. I'm using less chemical and hating life alot less at the dumpsites. My life would be complete with that thing if it made popcorn.

In a brief review Block the sun, Make some popcorn, Go wireless, And breathe easier with that chemical thing.

Happy campin' and I'll be seeing ya on the roads, throughout the SW corner of the US of A anyhow.

Happy camping, be well, and be safe!

For those that are wondering:
aircard www.verizon.com

blue streak chem www.bluestreakchem.com

the microwave came from sears

Just in case ya'll were wonderin'. (by the way I am not affiliated w/ any companies). I just thought they were pretty cool and worth a peek.
thanks for readin,
freddy t.

(I hope this isn't a duplicate.....my computer just puked! Hate that!)
Anyway, in regard to the Air Card, have you been able to get access in more remote areas that you still have cell service? How is it going down the road? We are going to snowbird to Quartzsite, Arizona next fall, and wonder if it will most likely work there. The cell signal with Verizon is good there. The only other options in this under-developed desert area are dial up and satellite. This would be ideal for us if it works. Thanks for the input. Thanks, too, for the links!

In answer to your question about Air Card service in Quartzsite, AZ. You will have excellent service with Verizon or Sprint. Alltel's coverage of Quartzsite is still a little flaky.
We spend at least 3 mos there every winter and use Sprints Air Card and friends of ours use Verizon, so I can speak with very current knowledge of the coverage in the Quartzsite area.
This is a RevA coverage area. This means that you will have connection speeds very comparable with a DSL connection as long as you have a RevA compatible card. (Note: not all air cards are revA compatible, almost all the new cards are now, but verify before purchasing.)
Now as far as going down the road, the coverage will depend upon where you are. If you have cell phone coverage you will have Air Card coverage. The speeds at which you will connect at will vary from area to area.

Are aircards very expensive? Are they worth it? Can you get them for desktop computers? Or only laptops? (I'm thinking about getting one)
