New Adventurer 38-J

I am taking delivery next week on a new 2006 Adventurer 38-J....Does anyone have any experience with this model and have you had any problems at all? We have traded up from our Itasca 2001 Suncruiser and wanted to stay with the Winnebago Product.

I bought the 2007 Adventurer 38T and really like it. I must say that in the two months we have owned it, it has been back at the dealer over 3 weeks (still there, waiting on parts). The Norcold refrig. had a bad part that had to be ordered. The shower door didn't have anything to keep it closed while in use. That is what it is waiting for now, had to order the part that was missing from the factory. I like the coach, but hate having to do the "Quality Control" checks that should have already been done. I have heard this same concern from several other owners of new motor homes (regardless of manufacturer). Sorry, didn't aim to "rant".

We also have the 38T. We fulltime and love the floorplan. We also have had it back to the dealer several times, but mostly because they had to order parts, and either ordered the wrong ones, or were sent the wrong ones. We aren't thrilled with the service at our dealer, so are taking it directly to the factory for the repairs we have outstanding.

Prior to the MH, we had a Carriage Carri-lite fifth wheel. It also had to go back for service a few times. I don't think there is a coach out there that doesn't. LOL

We have had ours now for 3 weeks and taking it back for the first time for repairs and warranty issues. I must say that we have found nothing that is serious. The coach batteries are needing to be replaced and the outside compartment lights do not come on. Other than that we have mostly cosmetic issues. Hope that nothing new turns up. We have had it out for two weekends and love it very much and as you all said the floor plan is awesome. We are taking it out for its first big trip and that is to NJ on 2 weeks. We will have put about 2000 miles on it after that trip. Talk with all soon and thanks for the replies.
