I am starting a new business that will involve I completely strip out the inside of my RV, except of course driver's seat forward. I have two questions to start with:
1/ Has anyone done this? and where do you suggest I start?
2/ How difficult would it be to move the toilet and kitchen? it is in the middle now I want it at the back.
Any suggestion are appreciated!!

I completley re-did an airstream trailer. The key is to make a complete proposed lay out of where you want things to go. Than make the measurements of all spaces to make sure what you want where actually fits. The tanks for the bath room can be moved as long as the storaged space accomendates them. You may have to buy different size or shape tanks to fit what you want. Unlike an airstream, where everything goes through the door during manufacturing, your biggest concern is changing the structure when you move something. Good luck

I've done a couple trailers and used to do conversion vans for a living. The one thing I'll trll you is strip it to nothing and don't skimp on materials. If you figure it will cost 500.00 to do it will probably cost 750.00 cause you always run into something unexpected. We used to get an occational conversion van in to rebuild usually an insurance job and always ran into unexpected problems even with the ones we built to beguin with.
The travel trailers Idid they both had significant water damage and we ended up relplacing over half of the 2x2 studs and most of the sheeting under the siding. Also the cabinets were ruined from water damage. While we had the walls apart we replaced the propane lines and wiring. These were vintage 1950's trailers so they still had propane lights in them.
If you can get them cheap enough (free) it would be worth it. But it is a ton of labor.

Do some extensive homework on your specific rig before you tear out any walls or cabinets. It is my understanding that in some (particularly older models), the cabinets, etc are very important to the structural integrity. If that is the case, and you rip them out without putting something similar anchored in their place, the structure could be in trouble!! This would not be true in a conversion van or bus chassis conversion w/metal shell.
