Best camping for New York city visit

We are looking for a nice place to camp near New York City. Of course, we are expecting to take public transportation. Train, subway, ferry, etc. Any experience anyone has had we would be appreciate the information.

There is a Koa not far from liberty Islaland they offer free shuttle to all locations in the city. You can goto Koa site and find it with no problems.. Secure place and very nice to enjoy your trip
